Benefits of Using Shea Butter.

I use Shea Butter in my products because it is a nice soft butter that is good to work with, but Shea Butter does have some fantastic health benefits too. I going to talk about some of those benefits to find the best Shea Butter product for you.



What is it and where does it come from?

Shea Butter is an oil rich high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins that is derived from the karate tree, also known as the shea tree. Shea Butter is a solid at room temperature but has a soft texture and will break up when you handle it. The Butter is extracted from the nuts of the shea tree that is native to Africa, this is also known as the Vitellaria Paradoxa. This Butter is also beige in colour.

Nutritional Values


It is high in Vitamin E, A and F and has anti-inflammatory healing properties. It treats acne and blemishes, tones and soothes skin. It moisturises dry skin as well as nourishing the skin without clogging your pores. It rehydrates cracked skin due to server dryness and nourishes the skin to feel supple from helping soften the skin. Great for heals and rough patches of skin, elbows and hands.


It soothes muscle aches after exercise and soreness after poor posture from everyday actives. It helps reduce pain and swelling, inflammation and stiffness and provides effective relief and UV protection.


Shea butter is great for stretch marks, sun burn, peeling skin from tanning, ance and some insect bites. It helps to relive itchiness and broken skin from sun damage.

In dry weather and cold sessions of the year we tend to get dry lips as our face faces the elements therefore Shea Butter is excellent for lip care.


If skin has been damaged from razor irritation this will alleviate irritated and itchy skin. It is super sensitive and effective for nappy rash and minor insect bites.


It is one of the best anti-aging agents for keeping skin looking younger and restores elasticity of aging skin. When the elasticity of skin has been restored it improved the collagen production which is why this is so effect for stretch marks restoration.
